My 2009 music year in review:
June: The lovely Helen B. took me to a Fanfarlo show at Rough Trade in London and their Resevoir quickly became the most played album on my iTunes

July: Jake F. brought me the Pictureplane album on his trip to London. I would play Dark Rift
in the Hall's kitchen in Streatham while I researched Twyla Tharp for my dance play.
August: Al, Tom and Phil played Bon Iver on the way back from Stonehenge. I was sleeping in the back of the car and had never heard it before. When I got back to NYC at the end of August I listened to Blood Bank and For Emma, Forever ago non-stop remembering lucid sleep on the solstice.
February: 1901 was a CAA song of the day. I would listen to it really low at my desk while sending emails and scheduling meetings.
March: The Morning Becomes Eclectic live version of While You Wait for the Others was another CAA song of the day. This one got more play at home than in the office.
September: HOME was on a Mondo Boys mix that Robyn K. sent me. I loved it immediately and played it for Amelia. Two weeks later she and Mark walked down the aisle to it at their wedding.
January / May: First heard Animal Collective's Merriweather Post Pavilion in LA visiting a friend who played In the Flowers on repeat while driving. Then I used it as scene change music when I directed THE PO-MO SEX ROMP in May.
December: Watched the Taylor Swift SNL with my mom, Mark and Amelia. Meme and I talked about what a great song You Belong With Me is and then watched the music video on You Tube.
