travel / coveted cookbooks

Chiara has been getting on me about not posting anything here. I think it's perhaps because the apartment is *still* not finished, which means I'm still not really cooking. Other than what I'm reading, what I'm cooking is my favorite thing to talk about here so there hasn't been much to say. This summer I've mostly been living off of breakfast tacos from Brooklyn Kolache Company.

I'm afraid it will continue to be pretty slight for the next month as before September 17th, I am traveling to all of the following destinations -

Ocean City, MD
Los Angeles, CA
Laguna Beach, CA
Red Hook, NY
Paris
Florence
Umbertide, Italy
Rome
Priest Lake, ID

And somewhere in there we will have to find time to move back in once construction is finally over. (Although I'm beginning to think it might never be over.)

But, when I return, along with writing and teaching, I can not wait to cook tons from these new cookbooks which are all being released this fall and I am waiting for with baited breath --

Julia Turshen, co-cookbook writer to the stars, has finally released her own book. It's out September 6th. Hooray!

My fav food blogger (and Juilliard alum) Molly Yeh's book comes out in October.

I read Dinner: A Love Story like a novel so cannot wait to get my hands on How to Celebrate Everything when it's released in September.
